Cork Juvenile Cross Country Uneven Ages 08-Oct-2017

The uneven age XC was held in Conna on Sunday 8th October . With just a gentle breeze and good underfoot conditions , the course proved challenging but fast.

   
The juvenile races began with our U9 girls taking to the 750m loop. Kate Rose Finn led the youghal girls to finish 16th overall . With super runs also by Aine Collins 22nd and Niamh Murray 26th . Unfortunately they were one scorer short for a team.
  
The U9 boys were up next and Matthew Murray 11th, led the Youghal boys
, followed by a close bunch of Tadgh O Brien 20th , Darragh Murray 22nd and Donnacha Coleman 23rd. Leo Nicholson , Conor O Sullivan, Quin Buckley , Fionan Breathnach , Enda Terry and James Chidlow completed the team.
  
Vivien Millerick had a super run in the U11 girls race to finish 6th and obtain an individual county medal. She was followed closely by Taylor Aherne  12th , Ella Marie Finn 44th and Clodagh Fitzgerald 53rd.
  
The U11boys put in great performances , with Finn Coleman 19th , Jimmy Nicholson 27th and Paddy Nicholson 31st. Unfortunately they were short one scorer for  team.
  
The U13 girls were up next and had to complete 2500m . Alex Cashman led the youghal girls and finished 10th overall closely followed by Avril Millerick 12th and Sorcha Kilgannon 13th . Eireann Barrett completed the scoring in 30th position. Izabella Chidlow ,Grace Rooney, Roisin Reilly , Ciara Wood, and Eimear Flanagan completed the team.
  
Charlie O Neill had a great run in the U13 boys race to finish 19th overall.
   
Emma Landers had an outstanding run in the U15 girls 3500m race  and battled hard to take the County title . She was followed closely by Avril Cashman 3rd and Erin Joyce 4th . The 3 girls winning individual  county medals. Eva Murphy 11th and Robyn Buckley 12th sprinted to the line . Natasha Kilgannon 28th completed this super team that took team gold.
 
Ciaran McNamee  had a fantastic run to win the U15 boys race and take the county title. Ross Williams had a great run to finish 16th overall .
 
Lucy O Keeffe had a super run to take silver in the U17girls 4000m race. Lesley Cashman also put in a strong performance to take 6th position and an individual county medal. Jake McCarthy had a great run in the U17 boys race to take silver . Ben Terry also performed well.
   
Aine O Regan and Sarah Williams had great runs in the Junior girls race. Killian Nolan finished a fantastic 5th in the Junior boys race.
