Weather behaved this morning after a very wet night for the county masters in Castlelyons. The course was very fast with only one pull, conditions underfoot were perfect. We had 2 ladies teams, O35 and O45 – both claiming titles today with Ladies O35 getting Silver, well done to Evelyn Cashman, Ann Marie Holland, Michelle Nolan and Mary O Keeffe. Next was our ladies O 45 got Gold with top honours going to Celia O Regan, Geraldine Curtin and Sandra Ryan. All ladies all received individual medals today also. Evelyn Cashman had a superb performance claiming 2nd overall. Special mention must go to Geraldine Curtin and Sandra Ryan on a very impressive comeback into Cross Country, both ladies have been training hard in preparation for this. The mens teams also had a great day with Mo50 putting in a very strong performance, this team consisted of Marty O Keeffe, Steven Devereaux and Noel Curtin. Marty O Keeffe 1st O50 Stephen Devereaux 2nd O50, Noel Curtin 1st O55 Mens O50 Team Gold, Marty, Stephen and Noel. Ian Murphy, Ed Nicholson and David Kilgannon also competed in a very competitive MO35 category. Well done to everyone who took part today, next Cross Country is Munster Senior in Borriskane, Co.
