The National evenage XC championship took place in Abbotstown , Dublin on Sunday 27th November on a fantastic new course.

Our U12 girls got the day off to a super start by winning the National Club title . Avril Millerick led the team home with an excellent run to finish 6th overall . In addition to club team gold she  won an individual medal , a gold Munster medal and was first scorer for the Cork team which also won gold. Sorcha Kilgannon was next home in 13th position closely followed by Alex Cashman 15th. Both girls winning gold Cork team medals (3rd and 4th scorers) as well as club team golds. Grace Rooney had a great run to finish 75th. Poppi Devereaux 87th and Eireann Barrett 100th completed the team.

The U14 girls were up next and set out on their 3000m route. Emma Landers had a fantastic run to finish 15th overall , winning a silver Munster medal and a gold Cork team medal. Avril Cashman was next home in 22nd place and took the 4th Cork team medal. Eva Murphy 42nd was next , followed by Caoimhe McMahon 74th , Erin Joyce 89th and Robyn Buckley 121st. Brilliant running by the girls who were unlucky to finish 4th club team after a terrible mix up with results.
