Well done to Fearghal Curtin on achieving a brilliant PB of 7.50.00 at the Watford Grand Prix A 3000m race yesterday evening 01st July, despite being pushed badly at start and with 200m to go.

In a stacked field and very exciting race, Fearghal finished in 4th place in a closely contested race.

Nice to see Youghal colours on the international stage....

Congratulations to Avril Millerick who won the Junior women's 3000M champion title for her 2nd time, having retained her title from 2022 at yesterday's AAI National championships in Dublin.

Well done to Avril Cashman who ran brilliantly in the same race to finish 4th place 👏 Avril also raced the National Junior 3000M Steeplechase championship two weeks previously in which she won Silver (sorry we missed that one)…

Excellent work from both athletes 🏃‍♀️

Sunday 23/07 Round-Up

Well done to Michéal Cronin who competed at the East Cork Senior 5000m championships this morning at The Mardyke Arena, coming a fantastic 4th place in a time of 17:31..

Well done to Keith Kelly who was 4th overall in the Run Aintree Half Marathon in 1:16:28, just 3 seconds off the podium

Super running by PJ Aherne in the Ballinameela 5k on Friday finishing in a great time of 19:30. Great to see the green and white hoops in so many places in the last week.

Avril will represent Ireland in the Women’s 5000mtrs at the upcoming European Junior (u20) championships in Jerusalem,  Israel on August 8th
