Munster Indoor Championships U9 to U13 - 9th/10th February 2013

The club had 5 athletes in action at the Munster Indoor Championships in Nenagh on 9th and 10th February. It was a first time for three of the athletes.
Kerrie Barrett competed in the Long Jump, High Jump, Sprint and had a very good run to come 7th in the 600m. Our four lads competed very well in the B/13 High Jump.
Peter Buckley, Sam Mc Sweeney and Jake McCarthy were joint fifth and Ryan McCarthy 9th. Sam McSweeney did well in the 60m Hurdles coming in 7th. Jake McCarthy ran well in the 600m coming 7th in a time of 1.57.4
Ryan McCarthy threw well in the B/Shot with his throw of 8.71m. Peter and Ryan also competed very well in their 60m sprint just narrowly missing out on qualification for the semi-final.
Eventhough no medals were won it was a great start for these athletes for the outdoor season. The numbers were very big and standards high.
