Well done to Ger O’ Leary who took part in the Dingle ½ Marathon on Saturday 02nd September, completing in a time of 2:03:58.

Well done to Sean Casey who made the trip to London to take part in The Big Half (against Sir Mo Farah). Sean picked up a bit of an injury en route but completed in 2:01:22 – speedy recovery.

And finally, well done to our junior athletes in the club who took part in the Surf Life Saving All Irelands in Mullaghmore, Sligo bringing home medals galore to Youghal..

Well done to our athletes, young and old today

We had a fantastic turnout of juvenile members, who took to the fields of Conna for the East Cork Cross Country. An enjoyable day was had by all, many enjoying their first day out in the green and white singlet and plenty of smiles at the finishing lines . Well done to all and to James Kelleher in particular who was second in the U11 Boys leading his team to a silver medal

Well done to Deirdre Ansbro and Michéal Cronin who took on the 1/2 marathon challenge at the Boston Scientific in Clonmel. Michéal came a magnificent 7th in 1:20:22 with Dee taking 1st F O/40 in 1:35:15

Keith Kelly, Brendan Coleman and Richard Stilwell (rep. West Waterford) from the Martin Drake aka Coach stable made the journey to Kilkenny for the Medieval 30km. Keith Kelly taking a marvellous 2nd place overall in 1:52:12. Richard ran a fab 2:03:05 and Brendan running a great race in 2:12:11

Well done also to our members taking on ParkRun this morning and to our members putting in the long runs before the Dublin Marathon in 6 weeks time...

AND MORE..........

Well done to Kate and Paul McFarland who ran the Giants Causeway coastal half marathon wearing the green and white yesterday. It was a very different type of race where they climbed gates and ran with cows on lots of different types of terrain.                      

We also had a few ladies who ran the mini marathon in Cork today, some whom had taken part in the cross country yesterday. Well done to you all.

Well done to all the parents who braved conditions over the weekend gone and to all the kids that ran in Carrig na Bhfear East Corks, we had some great results.
