Cork City Marathon, 1/2 & 10km
A wise man once said that ‘difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations’ and that couldn’t have been more apt this morning in Cork.
Well done to the 9 Youghal AC athletes who took on the marathon challenge, 10 for the 1/2 and 11 for the 10km… It was a tough day for running but ye put your months of training to the test, gave it your all and did the club proud…
You can all enjoy the rest of your weekends now and plan your race
Well done to our younger athletes who represented their schools with aplomb at the All Ireland Schools over the weekend in Tullamore.
Avril Millerick was 3rd in the Senior 3000m, Poppi Devereaux 4th in the Senior Pole Vault & Alex Cashman 6th in Senior 1500m Steeplechase.

Well done to Keith Kelly, 2nd overall in the Danesfort 10 miler today in a fantastic 56:20
Well done to Michéal Cronin and Dave Kilgannon who represented Youghal AC with aplomb on Friday evening at the Dormana 5 miler, with respective times of 30:38 and 37:06 - excellent running....

Well done to everyone who ran today at the Haulbowline to Pairc Uí Chaoimh half marathon in aid of Down syndrome Cork. Louise O Brien was 2nd lady over the line in a time of 1:37:51 followed closely by her running partner Deirdre Ansbro who was third lady.

Well done to Keith Kelly who came 3rd overall at the Coolagown 10km yesterday evening 22/06 in a time of 34:41 and Michéal Cronin who clocked a mighty impressive 37:52 to finish in 10th..
David Mc, Sylvie O’ Mahony and Brian Landers also made the trip to Coolagown and were all just outside the 50min mark - fine running...
On the International stage, we’ll done again to our very own @fearghalcurtin who came 3rd in European Team Championship 5000m race yesterday morning, helping Team Ireland to win Division Three after three days of competition. Brilliant achievement and great performance

Bronze in Minster Track and Field 60m Sprint (10th June - sorry that slipped through the net)
On to the Munster B’s , great performance from Gabrielle Flavin in winning the U10 Long Jump and coming 3rd in the 60m sprint…

Well done to our athletes who made the trip to the Cloyne 5km road race yesterday evening, 30/06… Some very impressive running, not least Jimmy Nicholson putting his dad Ed to the sword in a time of 19:39 to finish 3rd MJ..
Well done also to Michéal Cronin 17:40, Brian Landers 23:12, Sylvie O’ Mahony 23:12 (2nd M65), George Bulman 24:44 & Mary O’ Mahony 25:50 (2nd F55)…
