Nov 07 Munster B Juvenile Cross Country Championships

We had a great turn out for the Munster B cross country championships in Castleyons November 7^th.

Our team of U9 boys raced superbly to win Club Team Bronze. Shay Walsh led the team home in 3^rd Individual bronze medal position followed closely by Ernie Sharkey 15^th, Peter McGuigan 25^th, Donnacha Kelly 39^th, A.J. Leahy 49^th, James Kelleher 51^st & Jeffrey Nicholson 55^th. Shay Walsh also scored for the Cork Team winning himself County Team Gold on top of his already won individual & club team medals.

Our large team of U11 girls all ran fantastically in the 1 K race placing 12^th overall. Lucy Mae Kelleher led her team home in 30^th position followed by Caoimhe Walsh 69^th, Naoise Ni Laoire 83^rd, Ciara O’Brien 88^th, Emma Coffey 89^th, Melanie Keating 107^th, Keelin Kelly 118^th & Kelly Walsh 122^nd.

The U11 boys Odhran O’Sullivan, Tadhg Collins & Ciaran just short 1 for a team were next up to race well finishing 68^th, 91^st & 114^th respectively.

The U13 girls team were lead to the finishing line by Aine Collins who had a super run finishing in 8^th individual medal position followed closely by Clodagh Walsh 17^th, Molly O’Brien 67^th & Orla Motherway 59^th placing 5^th Club Team overall. Aine also scored for the Cork team to win County Team Gold

The U13 boys also ran strongly to place 5^th Club Team. Quin Buckley led the team home in 18^th followed closely by Donnacha Coleman 19^th, Conor O’Sullivan 20^th, Carthach O’Laoire 55^th & Leo Nicholson 60^th.

Katie O’Neill & Amy Coleman up an age competed well in the U15 girls race where Katie placed 30^th & Amy 34^th.

Jude Buckley was our final juvenile to race in the U17 boys race where he had an outstanding run to win individual 9^th medal position scoring for the Cork team to win County Team Gold
