Congratulations to Caoilfhionn Barry, Kerrie Barrett and Eoin O' Brien on winnning individual medals.

Youghal AC had a small number of athletes who travelled to Limerick racecourse on 20th November. It was a difficult course with very rough ground and quite hilly. However all of the athletes put in superb performances and weather conditions were very mild.

Girls U/9 - Caoilfhionn Barry and Kira Fitzgerald were outstanding: both girls got off to a strong start and finished in the top places. Caoilfhionn Barry finished 10th winning her first Munster medal; Kira finished in 15th and both girls were unlucky not to get a Cork medal as the top six scorers were in the top positions.

Girls u/11 - The A race was re-run in conjunction with the B Championship race. The A result placings for the Youghal team were as follows; Kerrie Barrett 40th, Rebecca O' Sullivan 52nd, Faith McEvitt 52nd, Tirna Cahill 62nd, Lauraleigh Baker 100th and

Caoimhe Barry 107th. Team was placed 11th in a very large field. The B results were Kerrie Barret 10th, Rebecca O' Sullivan 19th, Faith McEvitt 28th, Tirna Cahill 62nd, Caoimhe Barry 69th and Lauraleigh Baker 75th. The team came 4th just narrowly missing out on team medals. Congratulations to Kerrie who won an individual medal; she was also the 4th scorer on the Cork team which won the B Championship.

Girls U/13 - Aine O' Regan finished 25th just missing put on a Cork medal; next in was Karynn Collins 40th, Tara Murphy 44th and Sarah Williams 51st. Well done to these girls for completing a long and difficult course. The team was 7th.

Boys U/11- Well done to the three lads who competed in their first Munster Championship race. Darragh Buckley was 75th, Luke O' Brien 80th and his brother Adam 81st.

Boys U/13 - Eoin O' Brien had a super run to finish in 10th place and winning his first Munster medal. He was also the 4th scorer on the Cork team which won the inter-county competition. Next in was Eoghan Dorgan in 24th place and narrowly missed out on a Cork medal by one place. William Baker was 48th and James Wall finished in 60th place. Well done to these lads three of whom were running in their first Munster race.

Well done also to Willie O' Mahoney and Ed O' Regan who participated in the Master Cross Country Championships on the same day and were ably supported by many of our young juveniles.
