Welcome to another update from Youghal AC as we head into another busy year. Firstly, I have to thank Robert Hamill who resigned as club PRO at our recent AGM. Robert’s notes were always enjoyable and we all eagerly looked forward to them each time.

Monday 6.30 women beginners and 7.15 women advanced

Tuesday 7.15 men – hill work night

Wednesday 7.15 men beginners and women advanced

Thursday 7.45 winter leagues at Tides for all categories men and women

Friday 7.15 men 10k run

There are a number of men running in Youghal on their own we would encourage you to join our beginners group (Wednesdays) as it will make your running more enjoyable and you will see an improvement each week. Don’t forget your high-viz jackets when running.

Sunday 19th February 5 mile race in Carrigaline hosted by Eagle AC

Sunday 4th March Ballycotton 10 at 1.30 it is the 35th running of the event and good luck to all club members taking part.

Sunday 11th March BHAA 5k race starting at Mahon Community Centre Cork

Sunday 18th March BHAA 4 mile race in Little Island sponsored by Janssen

Monday 19th March mallow 10-mile race – entries still open on line at €15, it will be €20 on the day.

It is great to see the uptake of running in Youghal and we hope this will encourage more people to partake and join our club. It was very encouraging to see the large attendance at the recent AGM.
