RACE REPORT COUNTY SENIOR CROSS COUNTRY CARRIGADROHID OCTOBER 9TH

Well done to the Youghal Ladies who held onto their Silver County Senior Medals.

Aoife put in a fine performance to finish 4th in a very competitive field. She had to battle with Sinead O Connor from Leevale and Martina Kiely from St Finbarr’s throughout the race.

Ruth, Evelyn and Julie all had great runs to help secure silver.

Special mention to Julie who ran today just weeks after giving birth. Julie had her own battle with 2 St Finbarr’s athletes but managed to hold them off and her position was what made all the difference!

In the senior Men’s race we had 3 athletes competing Fearghal Curtin , Mossy Cahill and Ed Nicholson. Fearghal was competing in this as preparation for Gerry Farnham next weekend in Dublin. Mossy and Ed are also in training for Dublin City Marathon in 3 Weeks.
