National and Master and Intermediate Cross Country 11-Feb-2018

On a what can only be described as a challenging course we had 11 hardy souls take to the start line.

First up were the Master Women, Michelle Nolan had a terrific start and held her position throughout the race finishing in 21st position just outside scoring for the Cork Team. Next were Ruth Mellerick, Ann Marie Holland and Evelyn Cashman who ran well together finishing in 33,38 and 40 position. This was a highly competitive race and unfortunately Youghal Ac missed out on a club medal finishing in 4th position, with only 3 point between silver and 2 for Bronze.

The master men were next up, unfortunately they were unable to field a team but Steve Devereaux, Paul Curley and Martin Drake all put in superb performance on a 7km course. The Intermediate women had the roughest race of the day as they had to wait for all the Junior and master races to be run making sure the course was well churned up for them. Deirdre Ansbro, Louise O Brien, Niamh O Regan and Ricky Devereaux all had fantastic runs.

Well done to everyone plus our great supporters who made the long journey with us. More photos available at www.youghalac.com/photos
