20220320 - Race Report (National Juvenile Indoors)

20220320 – National Juvenile Indoor Championships, Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th March in Athlone.

The National Juvenile Indoor Championships took place on Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th March in Athlone. Well done to all who represented Youghal AC over the weekend. Results are as follows:

Grace Rooney was a busy young lady taking part in two sprint disciplines – she was 5th in her 60m Heat, just .01sec outside of qualification time and 3^rd in her 200m Heat, again narrowly missing out on qualification.

Poppi Devereaux and Sorcha Kilgannon fought it out again for Gold and Silver in the U17 Pole Vault, with the former coming out on top with a jump of 2.95m (new PB). Sorcha also performed superbly with a jump of 2.80m.

Autumn Devereaux secured Gold in the U15 Pole Vault with a jump of 2.40m.

More National medals coming back to Youghal and congratulations to all competitors and coaches.
