Hello to all from Youghal AC.
We had good numbers in the recent Munster Intermediate Cross Country in the WIT, Waterford recently, over a testing course. Well done to Mossie Cahill, Brian Landers, Eddie O’Regan, Dave Mc Carthy, Martin ‘Farmer’ O’Brien and Michael Buckley, you kept the club colours flying.
We had the county Intermediate and Masters on 18th November in Millstreet, this was the toughest course seen in Cross Country circles in many a long day and to add to the pleasure we had wind and rain in our faces for the duration of the race. We had two teams competing: Intermediate team; Mossie Cahill, Brian Landers and Dave Mc Carthy. We were short one member to make up a team and this was very disappointing that the club could not field a team. I would ask all our senior runners who qualify for these races to make an effort for the club and attend these events; it is after all about competing not winning! Our Masters Team; Eddie O’Regan, George Bulman, Dermott Ledingham and Willie O’Mahony – these lads ran a great race and came home in third position to give the club our bronze medals. Well done to all.
I have no results of Youghal athletes in the recent Run in TheDark race and the Mount Oval Movember run, I will pass them on when I receive the results.
Our Winter League has now started on Thursday nights at 7.45 Tides car park, I would encourage all club members to attend , this league is only open to all Youghal AC members.
I believe there is a lot of training going on for the Waterford half Marathon in December, good luck to all.
Entries are now open for the Dungarvan 10 in January , enter early as this will be closed as soon as the number is reached which I believe is 1750.
Watch out for the Ballycotton 10 as well it will be opening soon.
See you all on the roads during the week.
New jerseys are also available from Rickki and anyone looking for club tracksuits contacts Mossie Cahill, Frank Morrision or George Bulman.
Training nights as follows:
Monday - 6.30 Ladies at Tides car park.

Wednesday – 6.45 men at Farrells car park – hill run.
