Hello to all from Youghal AC.

We are going through the busiest time of the year with races almost every second night. It is great to see all the Youghal AC vests coming over the finish line throughout the races. Our latest race was in Shanagarry last Thursday night and on a typical Summer winters night there was still a great turnout, there were 31 Youghal AC members competing.

More and more of the ladies are now competing in these races and it is great to see their times improving at each race.

We had five members running in the Cork City Marathon and 10 did the half marathon and well done to all, see results below, it is a wonderful achievement to complete a marathon. I heard that some members are heading to the Waterford marathon on Saturday 30^th June.

We also will have a number of athletes getting ready to do the Dublin marathon in October, if anyone is interested in getting together for long runs please contact George and we can make arrangements for group runs.

Well done to all who have been prize winners in the recent races the club is certainly picking up lots of good publicity. New jerseys are also available from Rickki and anyone looking for club tracksuits contacts Mossie Cahill, Frank Morrision or George Bulman.

Friday - 8.30, Track and Field training in CIT. 6.45 at Farrells car park

Don’t forget your high-viz jackets when running.
