East Cork XC Uneven Age 20-Sep-2020

The East Cork XC Uneven age was held in Carrignavar on Sunday 20th Sept. Youghal had many athletes competing on the day in fabulous sunshine.

Neasa Ni Laoire got the day off to a great start by taking silver in the U9 girls race. She was followed closely by Kelly Walsh 6th.

Daniel Aherne took bronze in the U9 boys race. He was followed by Odhran O Sullivan 7th , Michael Coleman 8th and John O Mahony 14th to take team silver .

Clodagh Walsh also had a super run in the U11 girls race to finish 2nd. Chloe McCarthy 4th , Aoife Clifford 5th ,Orla Motherway 8th Molly Mcsweeney 16th and Caoimhe Brennan 22nd completed this super team which won gold. .

Ruby Devereaux led the Youghal boys home in the U11 race to take individual silver. Odhran Coleman 13th , Cartach O Laoire 15th, Shane Coffey 20th and Rohan Walsh 29th completed this team.

Autumn Devereaux finished 6th in the U13 girls race . She was closely followed by Vivien Millerick 8th , Emily Barry 18th, Katie Ates 19th , Amy Coleman 20th, Doireann Barry 21st and Niamh Murray 22nd. This super team won bronze.

Quin Buckley finished 8th overall in the U15boys race. He was followed closely by Leo Nicholson 13th, Donnacha Coleman 15th, Conor o Sullivan 16th, Jack O Neill 19th and Tadhg O Brien 22nd

Katie O Neill finished 5th in the U15 girls race . She was followed by Ailise Barry 7th and Sorcha Kilgannon 8th. Jude Buckley had a great run in the U15 boys race to finish 5th overall.

Our U17 girls put in a super performance with Emma Landers, Avril Millerick and Avril Cashman taking gold , silver and bronze respectively. Alex Cashman finished closely in 5th with Robyn Buckley 6th. The team took gold.

Liam O Connor took bronze in the U17 boys race with Charlie O Neill 6th.

Ciaran McNamee took silver in the U19 boys race and Lucy O Keeffe won gold in the U19 girls race.
