Hello to all from Youghal AC. Well ‘Ballycotton 10’ is behind us for another year and what a great turn out from the Youghal Athletic club. It was a tough day out there, as we were into the wind for the first five mile and still had to face the hill and the never-ending village at the end. We had over twenty runners competing so the green and white hoops were visible through the race.
Well done to John and Mossy who were both in the top 100 and to the many runners completing their first Ballycotton 10. We had a very enjoyable night in Ballycotton after the race, but no tales, except to say that some guys left everything on the roads during the race and others left it on the road between Ballycotton and Youghal on the way home.
Good luck to our Men and Women’s team running in the Munster Road Race championship on Sunday 11th March in Inniscarra.
We also have athletes competing in the BHAA 5k in Mahon on Sunday 11th March. We will have results of these races in our next roundup.
We had a great group up in Tower Park last Thursday night for the adult evening and we would encourage as many people as possible to attend these training sessions, they begin at 8.15.
