County Masters Track And Field Championships 31-May-2015

COUNTY MASTERS TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

On Sunday May 31st, Youghal AC had 3 athletes competing in the Cork County Master Track & Field Championships. It was a very successful day with all three athletes taking home a medal in each event. Ruth Millerick competed in the O35 800m. Ruth got a time of 2.35.09 which was a personal best and also took home the gold medal. Evelyn Cashman stepped up to the 3000m on the day and also got a gold medal with a time of 11.24.30 in the O40 category. The club also had the multi talented Mossie Cahill taking part in the O35 3000m, Hammer and Discus events. Mossie was 2nd in the 3000m with a time of 10.42.51. Mossie also backed this up with a double gold in the Discus 26.83m and Hammer 24.83m. Congratulations to all three athletes on a very successful day.
