Hello to all from Youghal AC.

We have a huge number of underage athletes presently in the club and we would appreciate any help we could get from parents and senior athletes to help out on the training nights (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday).

Well for the athletes competing in the Dublin City marathon on the bank holiday weekend you are in the final countdown. Make sure you eat all the right food this week, drink plenty water and rest, rest, rest. I have seen a number of you on the road and you are looking good, Steve and his side kick Tom are hopping off the road, those Kenyans better watch out! This is the list from Youghal AC that I think are competing – Steve Deveraux, Tom Barry, Laura Keane, Louise Savage, David Savage, Brendan Williams, George Bulman, Ursula Nickleson and Eddie Nickleson. If I have left somebody out please accept my apology. Good luck to all.

Results of Cork to Cobh 15 mile race

Ciaran Coleman - 1.42.00

Warren Terry – 1.50.37

Tom Barry ran 13.1 miles in 1.28.00

Stephen Devereaux ran 13.1 miles in 1.28.45

Why only 13.1miles? Well it what the plan for Dublin dictated and they stuck to the plan and pulled up after the 13.1miles. All us runners are a little mad?

The Rebel Run 10k was took place on the 21/10/12, Finbarr Kingston was our only runner in this race with a great time of 44:26

We had a great turnout of athletes in the County Novice cross country recently and all the lads had great times and well done. I would specially like to give a mention to our club friend Michelle Nolan who finished third in the ladies race, well done Michelle, great to see you back to your best. I remember you telling me at this same fixture last year as you watched the race that you could not wait to get back running, well your back!

See you all on the roads during the week.

New jerseys are also available from Rickki and anyone looking for club tracksuits contacts Mossie Cahill, Frank Morrision or George Bulman.
