All Ireland Junior And U23 Track And Field Championships

Congratulations to Lauren O’ Mahoney and Patricia Curtin who both medalled at the Junior and U23 All Ireland Track and Field Championships in the Javelin event, Patricia Curtin won the U23 title achieving three PBs in the same competition; 38.56m, 38.91m and 39.65m. Lauren O’ Mahoney also did very well coming second in the Junior competition with her best throw of 29.59m. More photos available at www.youghalac.com/photos
It was great to see both girls being so successful. Lauren now looks forward to the Juvenile All Irelands where she will compete in the U18 Shot Putt and Javelin. Patricia will focus on the Senior Track and Field Championships in Santry on 19th July and of course both girls are on the Ladies team in the National League final in Tullamore on 3rd August.
