The juvenile indoor pentathlon was held on Saturday 21st January in Athlone. Kerry Barrett was the only competitor from Youghal AC . After the first 3 events Kerry was still in contention for a medal with her 2 preferred events to come. She had jumped 1.39m and was attempting 1.42m in the high jump , when she injured her knee and had to retire.
