East Cork Cross Country Championships Uneven Ages. Watergrasshill - Sunday 4th December 2011

Day two of the East Cork Cross Country Championships was held in Watergrasshill on Sunday 4th December. We had a large number of younger athletes in action. Well done to all who ran in such cold conditions. Well done to the club on winning the Maureen O’ Connell trophy for the best girls teams results over two days of competition.
Girls U/9 – Caoilfhionn Barry won an individual medal in 2nd; next in was Aimee Morgan 4th, Sarah Kate Dorgan 5th and Zoe Whelan 7th. The girls won first team prize and secured maximum points for the club.
Boys U/9 – Well done to Sean Donnellan for completing his first race in great style for the club.
Girls U/11 – Kerrie Barrett was first home on 3rd place and won an individual medal; she was followed closely by a very strong team including Rebecca O’ Sullivan 5th, Lucy O’ Keefe 6th, Faith McEvitt 9th,Tirna Cahill 18th and Caoimhe Barry 21st. The girls won first team prize.
Boys U/11 – First to score was Sam McSweeney 8th and was followed by Peter Buckley 9th, Matthew Cody 10th, Ciaran Joyce 11th, Evan Villis 16th, Evan O’ Keefe 17th, Darragh Buckley 18th, Ciaran Leahy 19th, Luke O’ Brien 29th and Adam O’ Brien 32nd. The team came 2nd.
Girls U/13 – Aine O’ Regan finished strongly in 10th and Karynn Collins was 15th.
Boys U/13 – Eoin O’ Brien finished well in 7th place, Patrick Carey was 9th, Rory Donnellan was 13th and James Wall finished in 15th place. The lads won the second team prize.
Girls U/15- Well done to Emily O’ Keefe who ran well and claimed the 2nd individual medal.
Girls U/19 – Patricia Curtin also ran well and won the first individual medal.
Well done also to Maurice Cahill from the juvenile section who competed in the County Intermediate race held at the same venue and who finished in 11th place.
