Hello to all from Youghal AC. What a busy few weeks it has been on the running circuit with numerous races all over the countryside. Due to the large amount of people running races I cannot mention everyone therefore I will just mention people who received prizes in the various races.
We had one runner however in the Great Island 10 mile race who tried to get a PB by taking a lift in the Ambulance, it did not work Finbarr, but good to see you back again and make sure Patricia gives you more to eat and drink. We had a huge turnout at the Ballintotis 4 mile race there were 62 athletes from Youghal and well done to all who completed their first race. Our mens and ladies teams won bronze medals at the recent East Cork Road Race championship at Ballynoe on a beast of a course taking on the hill four times in the 5 mile race.
Anyone looking for club tracksuits contacts either Mossie Cahill, Frank Morrision or George Bulman.
I also received word today that one of our members Joe Walsh ran an incredible 2:47 in the Limerick marathon all the results are not available yet, but what a performance from Joe. I think Joe must be eating the Kenyan stuff that Steve is selling in the shop.
