Munster Uneven Age XC 10-Nov-2019

The Munster Uneven age XC was held in Conna on Sun 10th Nov. It was a cold day but ground conditions were quite good.

Our U9girls started the day well with Ava Murphy leading the Youghal girls home. She was closely followed by Lucy Mae Kelleher and Neasa Barry.

Paddy Kelly has a super run on the U9 boys competition to finish 17th overall . He was closely followed by Darragh Galloway, Rory Murphy and Thomas Sharkey.

In the U11 girls 1500m race Clodagh Walsh led the Youghal girls to finish 29th overall . She was followed by Aine Collins, Niamh Murray , Molly O Brien and Lauren O Brien. Doireann Barry , Abby Cooper, Kathleen O Connor and Tess Cummins completes this strong team.

Donnacha Coleman has a great run in the U11 boys race to finish 31st overall. He was closely followed by Ruby Devereaux 33rd, Conor O Sullivan 64th and Quin Buckley 74th. Leo Nicholson , Vladimir Boutenko, Ciaran Hynes and Cartach O Laoire completed this team.

Katie O Neill has a fantastic run in the U13 girls 2500m race to finish 19th overall , scoring in the Cork team to win a silver county team medal. She was closely followed by Autumn Devereaux 27th , Vivien Millerick 37th and Taylor Aherne 65th. Saorla Ni Laoire , Katie Ates and Nadine Barry completes this super team which finished 4th overall to qualified for the Nationals.

Dylan Cairns and Rian O Laoire competed well in the U13 boys 2500m .

Avril Millerick has an outstanding run in the U15 3500m race to finish 4th overall, winning an individual Munster medal and gold Cork team medal. Emily Brenner finished closely in 11th position also winning an individual Munster medal. Alex Cashman was next in 15th position ,followed by Sorcha Kilgannon 28th. Izabella Chidlow , Katie Ansbro and Ailise Barry completed this super team which took team silver.

In the U 15boys race Liam O Connor led the Youghal boys home finishing in 31st position. He was followed closely by Jude Buckley45th, James O Connor 47th and Alex Murphy 55th.

Emma Landers put in a great performance in the U17 girls 4000m to finish 2nd overall . She was closely followed by Avril Cashman 7th. Both girls winning individual Munster medals and gold Cork team medals . They also led their club team to silver with Erin Joyce 29th and Robyn Buckley 32nd. Eva Murphy and Natasha Kilgannon completed this great team.

Ciaran McNamee finished 22nd in the U17 boys race . He finished 7th for Cork thus qualifying on the Cork team for Nationals.

Lucy OKeeffe has a super run in the U19/ junior combined race. She finished 4th in the U19 race and 6th in the junior race.she won individual Munster medals and silver cork team medals.

Jake Mc Carthy ad Connor O Neill finished 3rd and 10th respectively in the U19 race and 5th and 12th in the junior competition . The both won team gold Cork medals.

Well done to all who competed . Best wishes Ciaran , Lucy , Jake and Connor and to the U13, U15 and U17 girls teams who all qualified for the National uneven Age XC to be held in Dunboyne on 15th Dec.
