This team was so unlucky to be just short 4 points for the bronze team medals and indeed just 13 point short of 2nd place. First in was Emma Landers 17th and she was followed by Avril Cashman 29th, Eva Murphy 32nd, Aimee Morgan 34th, Robyn Buckley 70th, Hazel Nolan 106th and Chloe Pye 108th. Erin Joyce Well done girls!

The team finished 12th and included Lucy O’ Keefe 15th, Kerrie Barrett 30th, Leslie Cashman 68th and Tirna Cahill 85th. Lucy had a very strong finish to be the 5th scorer for the Cork team which came 3rd so winning a gold inter-county medal.
Jake McCarthy also finished strongly in 8th place which earns him a place on the Munster and Cork teams for the All Irelands. Cork came 1st and Jake was the 3rd scorer. Dean Savage and Dylan Lucey also had excellent runs and are improving immensely this season. Dean was 33rd and Dylan was 51st.
Killian Nolan and Simon Upton both performed very well in this race. Killian ran very strongly to finish 16th barely missing out on the 6th Cork medal by one place. Killian will be on the Cork team for the All Irelands. Simon finished well in 38th place. Both of these lads will have their U15 Munsters on 9th November.
Fearghal Curtin won the U18 race. He battled it out with a lead group of 4 at the half way mark and then it narrowed down to two on the last lap. Fearghal got the edge and finished well. He will be on the Munster and Cork team for the All Irelands also.
Well done to all athletes, coaches and parents. Keep up the training as there is a hectic schedule coming up with the Uneven Ages Munsters in Newmarket-on-Fergus on 9th November, East Cork Championships on 16th November and Even ages All Irelands on 23rd November.
