County Novice and Masters Road Championships 19-Mar-2018

Large numbers turned out on a cold morning in Castlelyons today, for the

County Novice and Masters Road Championships.

Approx. one hundred women, and well in excess of one hundred men, took part

in today's combined races, with a big turnout from clubs from all over the

County. Youghal AC had 9 Ladies and 4 Men competing.

First up were the ladies who took Gold in the masters Ladies O35 - The

Masters Women team event was a very exciting race, with Youghal AC narrowly

winning the F35 team category with 18 points, marginally ahead of Midleton

AC who finished with 21 points, just one point ahead of bronze medallists

St. Finbarr's AC. The winning team were Ann Marie Holland, Michelle Nolan,

Deirdre Ansbro and Louise O Brien.

We also had several individual Medals in the o35/040 and O45 categories.

Our Novice ladies also had a great run with Carol Murphy, Claire Kilgannon,

Niamh O Regan and Celia O Regan all having great runs.

Our mens team were Brendan Coleman, Edward Nicholson, Brian Landers and Ed O

Regan. Ed O Regan took Bronze in the O55 category.

A great days running by all our athletes.
