June '26 Round-Up

6th June 2026

Huge congratulations to club member David Herlihy on his unbelievable achievement of completing the Norn Iron 100 challenge on the causeway coast. This was a gruelling 106 mile  (110 miles for David) run over all terrains. We wish him the very best in his recovery after picking up an injury with 55km to go. He crossed the line in 10th place.

Congratulations also to local men Jimmy Barron and Richard Stilwell on completing the challenge over the two days.

14th June 2026

Wishing Youghal AC member Ryan the very best this week as he travels to Dublin to represent Munster the Special Olympic Games  in football. Go show them how it’s done Ryan.

Huge congratulations to our club member @rgskehan and all his Munster football teammates who came home from the special olympics in Dublin with gold medals. We are all very proud of you Ryan.

Well done to our 5 representatives who travelled to Coolagown yesterday evening, Thursday 18th June to take part in the 10km organised by St. Nicholas AC

Congratulations to Isaac Landers who took home the Junior Male prize, coming home in a great time of 42:38

Brian Landers (45:23), Sylvie O' Mahony (50:54), Liam Burns (51:25) and Mary O' Mahony (53:57) were our other athletes to take part
